Join us on Saturday evening for a special talk by Amnesty International Canada Secretary General Alex Neve. Alex Neve was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2007, recognizing his contribution to human rights in Canada and internationally. In addition to providing leadership and inspiration to AI’s Canadian section, he has participated in front-line Amnesty missions in Tanzania, Guinea, Mexico, Burundi, Chad, Colombia, Honduras, Zimbabwe, Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa and Ghana.

Joining Alex will be a local Calgary musician, who will perform several songs touching on the themes of human rights and the striving for justice in troubled times.

Cost: $25 / $15 student & low-income.  Includes hors d’oeuvres.  Free if you register for the daytime workshops.  Cash bar.
