DECEMBER 2009

Our annual Write for Rights is held on (or around) December 10th. Write for Rights participants join a global letter-writing effort that sends words of encouragement to prisoners of conscious and pressures governments for their release.

Details of our local Write for Rights will be posted on the home page.  We also welcome and encourage families, schools, religious groups, individuals and groups of friends to hold their own Write for Rights event.  If you are interested in having your own Write for Rights event in Calgary, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it !

YEAR ROUND OPPORTUNITIES

Without volunteers, many programs would not be available and our work would not reach a wide audience. No matter what you’re interested in or how much time you have to give, we have the opportunity for you. Contact Nicole and Vanessa at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information on the positions listed here or to develop a new opportunity:

  • Monthly Human Rights Film Night - help at the door of our monthly film night or be a part of the selection and review committee.
